Couple Months Catch-up

So my favorite thing about reading other people's blogs are the pictures. So here's a few pictures of what I've been up to lately!!

The best Halloween party I've ever planned/attended! Over 2500 people came! So much fun! Here I am with a bunch of peeps from my ward. My old roomie Jessica was an angel with me... we were adorable!

Some of the best missionaries I've met here... Sister Byon and Sister Gregerson. Sister Gregerson went home about a month ago and Sister Byon leaves in a couple weeks... so sad :(

Another great missionary! I was fortunate enough to see him give a farewell testimony with about 15 other missionaries. It was really exciting to see him in action. I never once tried to go to the other side of LA to find him. A point of personal pride! Great to have you home dude!!

Before the unfortunate TCU game... glad I was able to go to 2 UTAH games this year!!

At the VERY exciting UTAH vs. BYU game! GO UTES!!! Of course I had to rush the field! Loved every minute of it... except the snow.

Me and my old roomie Jessica. I moved to a new apartment about a month ago.. the Greenfield House! We had our annual Christmas party over the weekend. Over 300 homemade sugar cookies made, decorated, and eaten! I love our amazing live Christmas tree in my new apartment. Jessica made me a friendship ornament. She moves to Utah next week :( Can't stop crying. Going to miss this girl!

So maybe I'm not so good at this...

Well clearly I am not going to be the world's best blogger... sorry!! Here are a few highlights of what I've been up to lately.

I got to go back home to Utah for a little visit... not nearly long enough tho. :( This is a picture of me and Danielle at the Utah State Fair in front of my ALL-TIME favorite ride. The Moby Dick!! I could seriously ride it over and over again until I die and never get sick of it! I encourage everyone to be sure to catch it next September!! So glad I could be in Utah and catch it again this year!! Thanks for enjoying it with me Danielle... even if no one else does!!

This is me and my roommie in front of the Salt Lake Temple! We were lucky enough to stop in before I flew to Denver for work. Word on Denver... pretty awesome city... way boring conference.

This is my amazing LA 1st football team!! We had an amazing game against our rival Santa Monica ward. We lost by 1 touch down ;( I'm convinced we would've won had we had been able to have 1 more possession... isn't that how it goes tho? Anyway... go GATORS!!

These are my two all-time favorite sister missionaries here in LA. Hermana Byon and Hermana Harrison. Hermana Harrison goes home tomorrow :( and I'm sure that Hermana Byon will get transferred tomorrow. But I absolutely loved being able to spend time with them and to hear them teach others the gospel. So amazing!!

This last weekend I got to see Phantom of the Opera at the Pantages theatre here in LA. As many of you may know... I'm not such a fan of musicals. But it was great to be at this crazy famous theater and to see it live. So cool!!

Anyway... pretty much life in LA is great!

Hello Internet...

So it is official... my own blog! I decided I enjoyed looking at everyone's blogs so much it is only right that I start my own. I make no promises as to the entertainment value of my blog so you are officially allowed to stop reading at any time!

**Some words of caution**
I really like exclamation points!! I use them way too often... And definitely unnecessarily!
I also really like to use ellipses.... and frankly I probably use them wrong frequently. So if you are a grammar nerd... don't report me to the punctuation police!!

I have now lived in Los Angeles, CA for about 10 weeks!! CRAZY!!! I never imagined my life would take me here. But I am LOVING it! I am excited to take advantage of all the great things LA has to offer. . .

Recently my good friend from Utah came to run the Disneyland 1/2 Marathon with her mom. I was lucky enough to then spend 3 days with them at Disneyland!! Happiest Place on Earth!!And if you don't agree.. you need some serious help!! I tried to take some pictures of them along the route... unfortunately these are the only ones that really turned out.

Here she is at about mile 1... Obviously enjoying it!!

Her mom at mile 1!!

And us at the finish!!
And yes, they ran the whole things with tiaras!!

They are die-hards with their Disneyland... 3 days of essentially open to close, including the day they ran the race!! But overall, a very fun weekend! Thanks Lisa and Laura!!

More info about me: this move to LA is my first experience living on my own, with roommates, and trying to fend for myself. I feel I've been pretty successful so far. Here is a pic of me and one of my roommates! We made dinner... ok... mostly she made dinner! Chicken, potatoes, and green beans. But I was there for moral support and definitely there to help eat it!! YUM!!!

I'd have to say one of the best parts of living in Southern Cali is I'm finally again living in the same state as some of my nieces and nephews. I have 9, but they all live in different states :( But now, my sister and her family live just over an hour (close to 3 with traffic) away. I've been able to visit them on quite a few weekends since I've moved... maybe more than they really want... sorry Sunny and Clay! This last weekend, Clay surprised Sunny with a bunch of people meeting at Disneyland for her birthday. So I got to go to Disneyland again this weekend (and officially use my annual pass enough in one week to make it worth it!!). It was a lot of fun! Thanks for letting me hang out with you guys! Then Saturday morning, my nephew had his first soccer game of the year! He's 6! And it was adorable!! It is just so fun to be close to them and get to watch!!

Anyway... thanks for reading! Hopefully I'll have some more entertaining things to post about in the future!!
